When officials pulled over a driver for speeding in Poway Wednesday night, they discovered the passenger had stab wounds to the head and neck.

Deputies spotted the car just before 11 p.m. on Twin Peaks Road near Silverset Street and tried to pull the car over.

The driver eventually stopped at Pomerado Road and Twin Peaks Road.

The man told deputies the stabbing had happened inside an apartment complex on Cynthia Lane and that he was taking his passenger to the hospital.

Paramedics were called and determined the man had non-life threatening stab wounds.

No arrests were made and no descriptions of suspects have been released. Deputies are still investigating the stabbing.
