Possible Yeater Baby's Daddy Arrested

Robert Powell, 23, was arrested on burglary, drug possession and drug paraphernalia charges

A man who reportedly claims he's the father of a Lakeside woman's baby, not Justin Bieber, was arrested over the weekend, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

Robert Powell, 23, says he fathered Mariah Yeater's son, and he wants to take a DNA test to prove it, according to TMZ. Powell claims Yeater lied about Bieber being the father for money.

Powell was arrested Saturday on burglary, drug possession and drug paraphernalia charges, according to the sheriff’s department website.

A paternity lawsuit against Bieber filed in San Diego Superior Court by Yeater, 20, was recently removed without prejudice.

Yeater claimed she had a brief sexual encounter after one of the singer's concerts last fall at Los Angeles' Staples Center. Yeater had just turned 19. Bieber was then 16.

Bieber has said he's never met Yeater and has denied allegations that he fathered Yeater's son, who was born in July.
