The district materials support building for the Unified Port of San Diego was struck by lightning on Friday afternoon, according to officials.

At around 3:45 p.m. a lightning bolt hit the building located on West Palm Street and Pacific Highway, which peeled back part of the building's roof. The damage is minor, according to a Port district official.

No one was injured during the incident, but the Port's administrative building on is currently without power.
