A professor who taught language courses at three San Diego colleges was found stabbed to death in his Tijuana apartment, according to Mexican authorities. 

The Baja California Attorney General's Office says the body of Henry Abalayan Acejo was found on Dec. 18.

The 45-year-old was from the Philippines and taught Filipino language and English as a second language classes at Southwestern College and San Diego State University. He also taught ESL at Mid-City Community College in San Diego.

Police say Acejo's grey BMW and belongings appeared undisturbed at his Tijuana apartment.

His body will be flown to the Philippines for burial.
