A drunken argument between two friends in Morena ended when one friend stabbed the other, San Diego police said Saturday.

The stabbing happened around 6:30 p.m. Friday at 1280 Goshen Street.

The two men were fighting about a woman and dinner plans. A 54-year-old man tried stabbing his friend in the ribs but missed and cut his arm, according to San Diego police.

Police arrested the suspect and treated the other man for a minor stab wound, police said.

The suspected attacker's name was not immediately available.
