Gas Station Robbery Suspect Sought

Investigators said the male suspect robbed a gas station in Valencia Park at gunpoint

Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a suspect who robbed a gas station in Valencia Park on Thursday morning.

According to investigators, the robbery took place at the Express Fuel gas station at 5109 Imperial Avenue around 9:40 a.m.

The suspect entered the gas station’s convenience store and asked the clerk if they sold “Spice,” a type of illegal synthetic marijuana drug.

The clerk said they didn’t sell the drug.

The suspect then pulled out a revolver and robbed the clerk at gunpoint, according to investigators.

Police said the suspect is described as a black male, 20-25 years old, weighing 150-170-pounds. He’s described as 5-feet-8-inches to 5-feet-11-inches tall.

During the robbery, the armed suspect was wearing a black-and-white striped hooded sweatshirt, jeans and gray knit gloves.
