Police Search for Suspect in Hotel Robbery

San Diego police were on the lookout Saturday for a man suspected of robbing a Mission Valley hotel on Friday evening.

The suspect, armed with a handgun, walked into the Howard Johnson hotel at 1631 Hotel Circle

South about 10:10 p.m. and demanded cash, said San Diego police Officer David Stafford.

Once he received an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the scene, Stafford said.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect was described as being about 6 feet tall, between 200 and 210 pounds, wearing a red sweatshirt at the time of the incident.

Robbery Division is investigating.
