A sketch of has been released of man who attemped to kidnap a 22-year-old woman early morning Friday in Escondido, according to the Escondido Police Department.
The victim after was able to get away from a man who tried to pushed her toward a car in the 800 block of Bennett Avenue, around 8:10 a.m.
The man, described as being in his early 30s with a medium build and clean-shaven, grabbed the victim while she was walking to work and steered her towards a light blue 1990’s model 4-door Honda in the driveway of a vacant house, said Lt. Chris Wynn.
The suspect told the woman to "Get in. Get in," according to a media release.
The suspect was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt pulled over his head, black shorts and athletic running shoes at the time of the incident, said police.
Based on his dress the woman thought the man was going for a run, said Wynn.
The woman screamed and ran away, said Wyn. When she turned to see if the suspect was still chasing her, she saw the suspect sped away in the above-described vehicle.
