Police have arrested a 19-year-old suspect in connection with a series of home burglaries in the Point Loma area.

On Tuesday night police began a special detail operation at the suspect’s apartment complex, Mariner’s Cove Apartments, on the 4300 block of Pt. Loma Boulevard.

At 6 a.m. Wednesday morning, police issued a search warrant and raided the suspect’s apartment. During the investigation, authorities recovered some stolen property inside the home.

The suspect was taken into custody following the raid, police said. The suspect was ultimately booked into county jail.

Police have not yet released the alleged burglary suspect’s name. They believe there may be several other outstanding suspects involved in this Point Loma burglary series.
