Four men allegedly trying to break into a Bonita liquor store were caught in the act by Chula Vista police early Tuesday morning.

Officers were responding to a burglar alarm at Holiday House Liquor on Bonita Rd., when they came across the suspects. Three of the men were able to escape out the back door, but one man was caught by officers.

The men climbed onto the roof of the building, cut a hole in the roof of a dance studio next door and broke through the studio’s wall and into the liquor store, investigators said.

Officers and K-9 teams searched the nearby area looking for the three suspects. All three were wearing black hoodies and face masks.

The store owner says nothing inside the store is missing.
