Police Chase Ends in Crash, Arrest

Chase began with the report of a stolen car

A man was taken into custody early Wednesday after a police pursuit ended in a crash.

San Diego police received a call around 3:30 a.m. from a woman who lives in the 5100 block of Olive Street in Oak Park.

She told police someone stole her car right in front of her eyes - right out of her driveway.

Officers spotted the white Acura about two minutes later on Euclid Avenue. The man driving it refused to pull over so police began a pursuit.

The chase ended when the suspect spun out of control and rammed the front of a stopped police car at 50th Street and Westover.

The 27-year old suspect now faces multiple felony charges.
