Peregrine Sees Overseas Opportunities, Adds 6 Sales Channels

The Mira Mesa-based fabless semiconductor company is looking to sell high-performance analog chips in overseas markets

Citing the potential of its microchips in markets outside of North America, Peregrine Semiconductor Corp. announced June 2 that it added six sales channels in the Europe-Middle East-Africa region as well as the Asia Pacific region.

Peregrine is a Mira Mesa-based fabless semiconductor company specializing in silicon on sapphire technology. It is looking to sell high-performance analog chips in overseas markets.

New distributors in the EMEA region are Interlligent, Link Microtek and Vostock. In the Asia Pacific region, Peregrine plans to take its products to market through Asiacom, Tecnomic and Acromax.

In October, Peregrine Semiconductor marked the shipment of its 2 billionth chip. Peregrine’s technology was developed by the U.S. Navy labs on Point Loma, now known as the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific.

Peregrine Semiconductor’s high-performance analog product line includes radio frequency switches, tuners, digital step attenuators, power limiters and mixers.
