Pacific Beach Checkpoint Nets 12 Arrests

Checkpoint was setup in the 2400 block of Grand Avenue

A DUI checkpoint setup by San Diego police in Pacific Beach on Saturday netted a dozen arrests according to police.

The checkpoint took place in the 2400 block of Grand Avenue, polic eaid. 

Of the 879 vehicles that passed through it, 37 cars were detained for further evaluation of the driver’s sobriety, according to a media release.

Officers made 12 arrests in or near the checkpoint and impounded nine vehicles, police said.
