California Highway Patrol officials issued a SigAlert for both lanes of State Route 94 in Jamul Thursday after an oversized machinery truck broke down on the road, blocking traffic lanes for hours upon hours.
CHP officials say the large truck has been stalled in the middle of the road in the rural area on SR-94 at Marron Valley Road since 3:22 a.m., when a specific part on the vehicle stopped working.
The part had to be special-ordered and now the driver is waiting for its delivery. The truck cannot be moved until then, officials said.
