One Person Escapes Raging Fallbrook House Fire

A large fire sent one person running from a Fallbrook home Friday evening.

The blaze sparked at 6:25 p.m. in the 1700 block of Macadamia Drive.

Fire officials say the flames started in the kitchen and spread quickly, burning about 3,000 square feet.

The only person inside was able to escape without any injuries.

Firefighters were seen chopping holes in the roof to let smoke escape.

The home is not a total loss, but it is significantly damaged, according to the battalion chief. The cause is still under investigation.
