One Hurt in South Bay Home Explosion

One person was rushed to the hospital Thursday after an explosion at a National City home.
While little information is yet available, what is known is that one person was burned and brought to the hospital after the explosion around noon at a home in the 1400 block of East 15th Street.
Several fire trucks and police vehicles are outside the residence. Firefighters were seen carrying something out of the home in a trash barrel and dumping it on the lawn.
