San Diego State University police are investigating the attempted sexual assault of a woman living just south of campus.

The unidentified woman told San Diego police officers that a man broke into her home around 1 a.m. and tried to sexually assault her.

The home was located near 55th Street and Mary Lane, just south of Montezuma Road, police said.

After the woman was able to escape, the man left in a white pickup truck. The woman described her attacker as Hispanic, 26-30 years old, 5’4”, stocky build, wearing a grey sweatshirt, blue jeans and black boots, according to police.

Anyone with information or questions should contact the SDSU police at 619-594-1991 or SDPD at 619-531-2000. If you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 619-235-8477.
