Operators of Residence Inn San Diego Oceanside have begun a $2 million renovation of the 125-room property at 3603 Ocean Ranch Blvd. in Oceanside.

Officials of Marriott International Inc. said renovations, expected to be completed by the end of February 2015, include removing a wall in the lobby and adding new seating, communal tables, flat-panel TVs and free Wi-Fi. Guest suites are getting new carpeting, color schemes, upholstered furniture and plush bedding, among other updates.

The property’s fitness center, pool area and 571-square-foot meeting room are also getting new elements, including carpeting and furniture, operators said.

The extended-stay hotel is located near Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.
