Man Killed in Oceanside Shooting

    One man was killed and a second was injured Saturday morning when an unidentified suspect opened fire outside an Oceanside residence. 

    Justin Nonu, 22, was standing in a driveway with four others about 5 a.m. in the 1700 block of Kraft Street when the suspect fatally shot him and wounded another man from across the street, San Diego police said.

    Nonu was pronounced dead on scene.

    The suspect was described only as wearing dark -colored clothing and fled west on Kraft Street.

    The second victim, whose name was not immediately released, sustained a minor injury to an extremity that did not require any medical attention.

    Nonu was a standout football player who graduated from Oceanside High School in 2006 and attended the University of Colorado.

    The motive for the shooting has not been determined.
