San Diego police are searching for answers after finding a nude man with a stab wound to the neck on a Barrio Logan sidewalk.
The man was found near Chavez Parkway and National Avenue at about 8:45 p.m. on Friday when police responded to a welfare check, said an SDPD official.
Police said the victim was discovered by a person passing by.
The victim was reportedly bleeding when officers arrived and he was later transported by paramedics to an area hospital where he was expected to survive his injuries.
The man's identity was withheld.
No arrests have been made according to police, though they said the case is being treated as attempted murder.
The incident was not thought to be be gang-related.
