Note Didn't Demand Cash

It's been known to work at banks. A man carrying cough medicine walked up to pharmacist and handed over a demand note. This one wasn't asking for cash, but instead told the pharmacist to pack up Oxycontin.

The robbery happened at the Walgreens at 3222 University Thursday around 5:30 a.m.

The man, wearing a gray baseball cap, a black "Member's Only" type jacket with a red "TRD" printed on the chest and blue jeans, was caught on surveillance video.

After handing over the note, he appeared to reach toward his waistband, according to San Diego police.

The suspect was last seen leaving the Walgreens and walking towards the parking lot. Crime Stoppers is offering $1,000 to anyone with information that leads to a felony arrest in this case. Call (888) 580-8477.
