Northbound I-15 Reopened at Murrieta After Fatal Crash

California Highway Patrol officers reopened northbound Interstate 15 near Murrieta after an early morning closure due to a fatal crash.

A big rig overturned in the center divide area of the interstate just north of Murrieta Hot Springs around 5 a.m. Thursday.

Officials say the crash involved another vehicle.

Moments later, CHP issued a SigAlert and then attempted to clear the crash debris from the highway.

Two hours later, officers closed the northbound lanes.

By 8:00 a.m., the onramp to NB I-15 was reopened with the all lanes reopening soon after that.
