Fire destroyed an Oceanside restaurant Wednesday morning.
The fire started in the kitchen of Deiberto’s Mexican Food in the 3300-block of Mission Avenue.
38 firefighters from Oceanside and Carlsbad responded, according to officials. They extinguished the fire in about a half hour.
Fire officials estimated damage at $350,000 and said the restaurant is a total loss.
Around 7 a.m., flames and heavy smoke were seen coming through the roof.
Officials said they believe it started as a grease fire.
