North County Firefighters Called to 2-Alarm Blaze

More than a dozen fire units are on the scene of a structure fire in Carlsbad.

The fire broke at about 4:15 p.m. in the 2200 block of Camino Vida Roble in Carlsbad, not far from McClellan-Palomar Airport, where air traffic controllers reported seeing thick, black smoke. The cause of the fire and financial amount of damage are not yet known.

There were no injuries, authorities said.
