Nearly 3,000 people are without power in the Santee area during an unplanned outage, San Diego Gas and Electric said.
The outage happened at approximately 4:26 p.m. Sunday in Fletcher Hills, El Cajon, Santee and Carlton Hills area.
2,791 customers are without power, but SDG&E said the power should be back on by 7 p.m.
