With Monday’s rain came an increase in accidents on San Diego County freeways.
According to the California Highway Patrol, 191 accidents were reported between midnight and 9:15 p.m. That’s compared to 50 to 75 crashes on a normal day.
The majority of the accidents (109) happened between 6 a.m. and noon.
A semi-truck accident in Rancho Bernardo closed northbound Interstate 15 for four hours.
Rain is expected into Tuesday.
