A National City man is $1 million richer today after winning the lottery with a $10 Scratchers ticket, according to the California Lottery officials.

The man, who officials identified as Arvin T., bought the $250 Million Cash Spectacular ticket when he went to use an ATM at a 7-Eleven store located in the 800 block of E. Eighth St. in National City, lottery officials said.

Lottery officials added that  the man initially thought he had only won $100,000, but then he noticed the extra zero.

When asked what his plans were after winning, the man replied, "Whatever my wife tells me to do," according to lottery staff.
