2 Suspects Apprehended in Stolen Car Pursuit

    National City police officers apprehended two suspects, who allegedely stole a Honda Civic from south San Diego and led officers on a nearly 15-mile pursuit.

    The vehicle pursuit ended just after 1 a.m. Saturday in the 500-block of East 30th Street in National City. The two suspects ran from the vehicle and hid in some nearby bushes where police found and arrested them.

    A San Diego police watch commander could not immediately confirm the exact location where the car pursuit began, but a National City dispatch said the pursuit initially started in south San Diego and crossed into the South County city.

    National City police officers picked up the chase at East Plaza Boulevard and South Harbison Avenue, the dispatch said. 

    Officers could not immediately say how fast the vehicle traveled during the chase, but confirmed no one was injured during the incident.
