An accused serial flasher has been arrested after exposing himself to a police captain.

The suspect is wanted for flashing visitors at Mission Trails Regional Park for at least a year.

Naked 46-year-old James Peter Arendt was arrested before dawn Tuesday after flashing Police Capt. Sarah Creighton, who was dressed as a jogger in an undercover operation, Detective Gary Hassen said.

Hassen says the captain spotted the suspect and was pretending to be making a telephone call when Arendt, who was draped with a blanket, walked by and exposed himself.

Arendt was booked for investigation of indecent exposure and he remains in jail with bail set at $50,000.
