NYE Accident Injures 14 People

Woman driving through Pechanga Resort and Casino hurts herself, 13 others

Fourteen people were injured at Pechanga Resort and Casino after a car accident on New Year’s Eve, according to California Highway Patrol.

Just after 8 p.m. on Saturday, a 65-year-old woman driver struck a Hyundai, then also a support pillar of a Pechanga building.

Of the 14 people hurt, two had major injuries and two were moderately wounded.

No one was taken into custody and the driver was not suspected of operating her vehicle under the influence.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
