Residents along the coast in San Diego's north county have reported a mysterious gas-like smell.

The smell has been documented throughout Tuesday afternoon from Del Mar and Rancho Bernardo up to Carlsbad, according to dispatchers in the area.

There have been no reports of gas leaks, and the county is not working to clean up any spills, they say.

The U.S. Coast Guard also said they are not working on any incidents.

Several Facebook users also reported smelling the strong, sulfuric smell throughout the county.
