California Highway Patrol officers responded to a multi-vehicle crash in Carmel Valley Thursday evening.
The collision happened around 5:15 p.m. on eastbound State Route 56 and Carmel Creek Road, according to authorities.
At least three cars were involved in the crash. When officers arrived at the scene, two of the vehicles were blocking the first and second lanes and the third was in the center divide.
Medics treated several patients for unknown injuries.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
