A motorcyclist was injured in a hit-and-run crash near Interstate 15 in Mira Mesa Wednesday.

San Diego police responded to the intersection of Mercy Road and southbound I-15 at 6 a.m.

The motorcycle rider was traveling eastbound on Mercy Road crossing the I-15 overpass when he was struck by a lowered white Honda Civic that ran the red light, officers said.
