A motorcycle crash that blocked lanes of State Route 163 turned fatal Friday evening.
Around 5 p.m., Ernest Robert Jensen, 70, was riding his BMW motorcycle south on SR-163 when he collided with a slower moving Lexus near Washington Street, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
The crash threw Jensen off his bike.
Witnesses in the area report seeing several people performing CPR on the victim before he was taken to the hospital.
He was pronounced dead shortly after.
Officials issued a Sig Alert as paramedics responded and the scene was cleared.
