85-Year-Old Poway Woman Missing

Police are searching for Shih Saung, last seen walking out of her daughter's home in Poway early Wednesday morning

The San Diego Sheriff’s Department is requesting the public’s help in finding a missing 85-year-old woman who is considered at risk.

According to police, Shih Saung walked out of her daughter’s house in the 12000 block of Old Pomerado Road in Poway at 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday and hasn’t been seen since.

Saung is diabetic and did not take her medication today. Family members also told police that Saung may be in the early stages of Dementia.

Police said Saung is known to get on the bus, so she may be in downtown San Diego or at Lindbergh Field.

She was last seen wearing a long-sleeved floral-patterned shirt, jacket, black pants and sandals.

Saung is Chinese and 4-feet-5-inches tall. She weighs 120-pounds and has brown eyes and black hair. Police said she also uses a cane and carries a black umbrella and brown purse.

On Thursday, police reported that Saung was found safe around 8 p.m. Wednesday night in Rancho Bernardo. No further details have been released yet about where she wandered to or what she did during the time she was missing.
