Nearly a quarter-million dollars worth of damage was done after a fire broke out in the garage of a Mira Mesa home Tuesday.
One person was treated at the home on the 8900 block of Taurus Place for smoke inhalation, but no one was transported to the hospital.
The fire, which fully involved the garage, broke out around 10:45 p.m. and was knocked down in about 15 minutes, according to Lee Swanson, San Diego Fire-Rescue public information officer.
One car in the garage was destroyed, and a car in the driveway was damaged.
Investigators say the cause is accidental, and the total cost of damages to the structure was estimated to be $150,000 and $75,000 to the contents.
Three people were displaced due to smoke damage in the home, prompting Red Cross to assist with temporary housing.
