“Mini Heat Wave” Brings Beach Weather

Temperatures expected to reach the 90s inland

It may be difficult to focus on work or school with the warm, sunny weather this week.

Temperatures will run several degrees above average for San Diego County.

Residents along the coast will see temperatures reaching 80 degrees at the beaches, and those living inland may see temps reaching into the 90s according to NBC 7 Meteorologist Jodi Kodesh.

“We are going to be in for a mini heat wave Monday and Tuesday,” Kodesh said.

Most of the county is normally seeing temperatures near the upper 60s this time of year, she added.

The high pressure system will bring the desert heat and some winds for the next few days.

Temperatures will start to dip Thursday.
