Men Admit to Conspiring With Local SEAL

Two Las Vegas men have pleaded guilty to conspiring with a Navy SEAL and another man to sell more than 100 machine guns and other weapons smuggled into the U.S. from Iraq and Afghanistan.

U.S. Attorney Daniel Bogden said 36-year-old Andrew Kaufman and 35-year-old Omar Aguirre entered pleas Thursday before Senior U.S. District Court Judge Lloyd George in Las Vegas.

Kaufman had been named previously in the case with the active-duty SEAL, 33-year-old Nicholas Bickle (pictured above) of San Diego, and his friend, 34-year-old Richard Paul of Durango, Colo.

Bickle and Paul pleaded not guilty Thursday in Las Vegas to multiple charges. The judge set trial for Jan. 24.

Kaufman could face up to 15 years in prison and Aguirre could face up to five years at sentencing March 25.
