Memorial Services Held for USC Student Killed in Hit and Run

Family and friends gathered Tuesday night to remember Adrianna Bachan, the USC student who was killed by a hit and run driver more than a week ago. Hundreds attended the memorial service Tuesday night at at St. Anthony's Croatian Catholic Church north of Downtown Los Angeles.  Another service will be held Wednesday in Santa Barbara.

Bachan, 18, was killed March 29 around 3 a.m. as she and her friend crossed Jefferson Boulevard at Hoover Street.  Marcus Garfinkle, 19, was also hit and is recovering from broken legs and other injuries.

Police believe 30-year-old Claudia Cabrera was the driver that hit them.  She's charged with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter and felony hit-and-run.  She pleaded not guilty to the charges in court Monday.

But the investigation is far from over.  Police are still on the hunt for Cabrera's husband, 31-year-old Josue Luna.  They believe he was a passenger in the car and pulled Garfinkle off the hood so the duo could escape.  The LAPD still hasn't recovered the car either, a green 2000 Infiniti four-door sedan with California license plate 6DUG665.

In lieu of flowers, the Bachan family requested donations be made to the Adrianna Bachan Memorial Fund, care of West End Partners in Santa Barbara.
