A Marine's coast-to-coast bicycle trip to raise money for injured military members has ended in Bethany Beach.

Maj. Bill Conner cycled some 3,115 miles from San Diego to Bethany Beach to raise money for the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, which provides immediate financial help for injured and critically ill members of the military and their families. He ended his journey in Delaware on Friday.

Conner began his journey on Easter Sunday with the goal of raising $35,500. By this week, his donations had totaled $30,815.

Conner attended the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., and had classmates who have died while serving overseas.
