A man was killed Wednesday morning after being struck by two hit and run drivers in Vista, deputies said.
The man, possibly in his 60s, was crossing the street with a walker when he was hit by the first vehicle at about 4.45 a.m. in the 1300 block of East Vista Way. The driver didn’t stop.
Witnesses at the scene said the victim was still alive and they were about to render aid when a second vehicle hit him.
The victim died, deputies said.
The second vehicle was described as a black lifted pickup truck with large tires, possibly a Ford Ranger. Witnesses said the driver did a u-turn and stopped in the area for a little while, but did not return to the scene.
Both drivers are facing felony hit and run charges.
