Man Shot in Face at Chula Vista Home

A man was shot in the face during an altercation at a Chula Vista home Friday afternnoon, police confirmed.

According to authorities, the shooting happened around 4 p.m. at a residence in the 700 block of Auburn Avenue near East H Street.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered one male victim had been shot in the face. He was conscious and breathing, and was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police said he is expected to survive.

Investigators said two male acquaintances had some type of altercation inside the home. During the fight, the 44-year-old male victim was shot in the face.

Chula Vista police arrested shooting suspect Shawn Miller, 30, at the scene. There were several other adults inside the house during the shooting, but no other injuries were reported.
