A man was killed Sunday evening after being struck by a train in Carlsbad, according to deputies.
The apparent accident happened about 7:30 p.m. at Carlsbad Village Drive and State Street, according to deputies.
Investigators think the man was trying to get the other side of the tracks, but misjudged the distance of the train.
