A Rancho Bernardo man has been arrested on suspicion of illegally selling Ecstasy to a 21-year-old girl who fatally overdosed on the drug.
Twenty-three-year-old Marvin Bada was named Wednesday in an indictment unsealed in San Diego federal court.
The indictment alleges that in April 2009, Bada sold a "lethal amount" of the drug to Laura Luna, who later died from an overdose.
Court papers also say that Bada dealt the drug on four other occasions -- about 100 tablets at a time -- between November and April.
Prosecutors say he faces at least 20 years in prison if convicted of distributing Ecstasy leading to a death.
Bada appeared in court Wednesday and was ordered to return for a detention hearing Friday.
