Man, 21, Found Dead in Oceanside

Louiegie Bermas, 21, sustained trauma to his body, police said

Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 21-year-old man that occurred in Oceanside on Wednesday morning.

According to the Oceanside Police Department, victim Louiegie Bermas was found dead in the roadway in the 600 block of Arthur Street and East Parker Street at around 5:45 a.m.

Officials said Bermas’ body sustained trauma, but they are not releasing details of the injuries, as the investigation is ongoing. Berma’s exact cause of death has not yet been determined by the county medical examiner’s office.

Police say Berma was with another unidentified person Wednesday morning when the two were confronted by others. The unidentified companion sustained non-life threatening injuries in the same incident.
