Man Fatally Stabbed in Unincorporated La Mesa

    Suspect Manual Morales, 28, is accused of stabbing Jesse Nader, 26, on Mars Way in unincorporated La Mesa on June 17. Nader died as a result of fatal stab wounds to his chest.

    Investigators arrested a suspect Saturday night in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred in unincorporated La Mesa on June 17.

    Authorities said 28-year-old suspect Manuel Morales turned himself in to police in Chula Vista nearly one week after a fatal stabbing. Morales was arrested on one count murder for the stabbing death of 26-year-old Jesse Nader.

    On June 17, Morales allegedly stabbed Nader in the chest around 10 p.m. on the 4200 block of Mars Way, according to the San Diego Sheriff's Department.

    Morales fled the scene by the time deputies arrived.

    The victim was taken to the hospital and was confirmed dead by the department at 10:30 p.m.

    Authorities said the motive for the fatal stabbing remains unknown.
