3.6 Earthquake Hits Area East of Julian

    A map shows the area just east of Julian where the earthquake was centered.

    A magnitude 3.6 earthquake shook an area east of Julian Friday morning, according to the US Geological Survey.

    The quake was just 14 miles east of Julian and occurred at 10:38 a.m.

    The agency released a map showing the effected areas and has reported six much smaller quakes in the same area since Friday.
