MTS Readies Service for Chargers Game

Heavy crowds are expected for the Thursday game

The Metropolitan Transit System is gearing up for the upcoming Chargers vs. Raiders game.

For the 5:20 p.m. game on Thursday, MTS is urging those who will take the Trolley to Qualcomm Stadium to travel early. Trains are expected to be crowded or at capacity starting at 2 p.m., at which time passengers may experience delayed boarding.

Starting at 1:30 p.m., MTS will have enhanced service on the Green Line between Old Town and Qualcomm Stadium. Longer trains will also be operating throughout the entire Green Line.

After the game, MTS will run enhanced service on the Green Line in both directions.

MTS is also encouraging passengers to buy day passes before heading to the stadium to avoid long ticket lines after the game. Commemorative Day Passes will be on sale at select Transit Stations on the Green Line. Regular day passes are available at all stations.
