Lyft Driver Reports Robbery, Pistol Whipping: SDPD

A Lyft driver called 911 Monday to report he'd been robbed and pistol whipped in Mission Valley and now San Diego Police are looking for the two men responsible.

Officers were called to Camino del Rio South south of Interstate 8 and east of State Route 163 at 10:10 p.m. Monday. 

Police say two men walked up to the driver while he was sitting in his car checking his phone.

The driver suffered cuts to his face in the attack.

Police have not released what was stolen.

SDPD and California Highway Patrol is investigating. 

No other information was immediately available.
