Local Up for Sexiest Vegetarian

You don’t have to eat meat, to be a beefcake.

PETA is proving that point by selecting twenty very attractive men and women to compete in its Sexiest Vegetarian contest.

San Diego resident Obele Acha-Ngwodo Jr., 28, beat out hundreds of other entrants from across the U.S. to become one of 10 men competing in the finals.

"On average, vegetarians are slimmer and healthier than meat-eaters are, and that makes them sexier too," PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman said Monday in a news release announcing the finalists.

And one look at Acha-Ngwodo’s photo confirms, there’s nothing missing in his diet.

The massage therapist owns his own company and advocates the health benefits of a vegetarian diet to his clients.

Acha-Ngwodo said the film Earthlings prompted him to adopt the vegetarian lifestyle and says that he now feels more energetic and functions better.

You can go online and vote through Wednesday. Two winners will be announced on April 14. Each winner will spend seven nights in beautiful Maui, courtesy of the PETA Member Advantage Program.
